RP Sport Registration Information

Registration for Fall Sports IS NOW CLOSED!

Please review the information below regarding the athletic registration process. To ensure your student-athlete is eligible for participation on the first day of practice, all required forms and documentation must be submitted by the registration deadline. Roselle Park Athletics uses Genesis Parent Portal for all athletic registrations.

Genesis Registration Steps

Step 1

Log into your Genesis Parent Portal account.

Step 2

Under the Forms Library tab click on the Fall Sports Registration Form.

Select the school your student-athlete will attend in the upcoming season.

Select the sport your student-athlete will be participating in and complete all required fields. (Students may only register for one competitive sport per season, they are allowed to register for one sport and Marching Band)

Review all information and click Submit or Update to finalize the registration.

Step 6

Complete and upload all required medical forms in Genesis, including:

  • Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form (Required if current physical date is not within 365 days of your sport start date)
    • A sports physical is valid for 365 days from the date of the examination. If a physical is valid on the first day of the season, it remains valid for the duration of that sports season in accordance with NJSIAA and New Jersey Department of Education regulations. Please note that only the current New Jersey Department of Education athletic physical forms will be accepted.
  • Health History Update Questionnaire (Required if physical date is valid but more than 90 days from your sport start date)
    • If your physical date is within 90 days of your sport start date, you DO NOT have to submit a Health History Update Questionnaire.

*Additional forms are required to be submitted to the school nurse if the student-athlete has a history of asthma/allergies, diabetes, or seizures. 

Step 7

All student-athletes must have an ImPACT Test on file prior to participation. Baseline ImPACT testing is valid for two (2) years and administered by the Athletic Trainer. Email krodriguez@rpsd.org for more information. 

Step 8

Once all forms have been submitted, the student's medical paperwork will be reviewed and sent to the school physician for clearance. Please allow up to two weeks for the clearance process.

If you’ve participated in a sport within the last year, check Genesis under the Athletics section or with your school nurse to confirm you have a valid physical on file.

Checking Registration Status

Families who wish to verify the status of their student's athletic clearance should contact the Athletic Office, Nurse or the Head coach of their respective sport.

Please submit all paperwork as early as possible to avoid delays in athletic clearance.
